Rebecca S. Thomas, Professor of German and Associate Dean for Faculty Development, has been at Wake Forest since 1993. Until 2010, she served as a faculty member in the department of German and Russian and also served as departmental chair. She teaches German language, literature, and culture, and her research area is twentieth century Germany and contemporary Austria. Rebecca has twice served as residential faculty director at Wake Forest’s Flow House in Vienna, Austria.  As Associate Dean for Faculty Development, Rebecca will administer leaves, grants, fellowships, programs, and awards supporting faculty and chairs in their teaching, research, and professional development.
