Racial Coalitions & Local Elections – Book presentation by Dr. Andrea Benjamin

Dr. Andrea Benjamin, Assistant Professor of Political Science at UNC Chapel Hill, will visit Wake Forest University for a presentation of her book “Racial Coalition Building in Local Elections” on Wednesday, October 18 starting at 5:30 pm in Kirby Hall, room 120.  In this book, Dr. Benjamin explores the voting behavior of Blacks and Latinos and the specific conditions under which Blacks and Latinos vote for the same candidate.  The presentation is sponsored by the Department of Politics & International Affairs, American Ethnic Studies and Latin American & Latino Studies.
