Dr. Stephen Whittington has been Director of the Museum of Anthropology and Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Anthropology since 2002. He is a bioarcheologist who has excavated and studied human skeletal material from Maya sites in Honduras and Guatemala. He is currently directing the Teozacoalco Archaeological Project in Oaxaca, Mexico. At Wake Forest he is a member of the Latin American Studies Steering Committee and the Art Collections Advisory Committee. He is the Southeastern Regional Representative for the Association of College and University Museums and Galleries.
