Welcome to Biology at Wake Forest University. Our faculty are dedicated teachers and renowned researchers who collectively provide training that covers almost all aspects of biology, from molecules to the biosphere. We are committed to providing a rigorous science education within an uncompromising liberal arts framework. Our faculty work closely with undergraduate and graduate students in the classroom, the laboratory, and the field. Our graduates move confidently into a wide range of professions, including academic research, biology teaching, global change studies, and conservation biology. Our BA and BS degrees also provide a strong foundation for careers in medicine and the allied health professions. To promote student accomplishment, we strive to maintain first-class research and teaching facilities.
