ZSRx: Deacon Development 101
ZSR Library is offering the second course in its ZSRx series of lifelong learning, Deacon Development 101, a course intended for Wake Forest parents and families. The five-week course is intended to help parents understand how their students will grow, change and develop in the four years they are in college and how they, as parents and families, can help in that healthy development. It seeks to bring participants to a fuller understanding of how this generation experiences their college years. The course will explore how parents can help their students develop crucial skills like resilience and self-advocacy, and how students might develop greater awareness of their own identities.
Orientation for the course started on October 1. The first module will start on October 8, so if you would like to join with others in this community of learners, go to the Parents Page to sign up here. Over 150 people have signed up for the course and have already begun connecting with each other and helping each other as they learn together about student development.
The ZSR Library is committed to developing a free, open, online learning community at Wake Forest – technology enhanced learning in the Wake Forest way.
