My research interests are in the areas of biochemistry, genetics and education. I am interested in the biochemical and molecular pathways leading to subclinical athersclerosis and insulin resistance. In regards to education, I am interested in the comparing the effectiveness of Problem Based Learning (PBL) and Process-Oriented Guided-Inquiry Learning (POGIL) with more traditional teaching methods in science courses.
