“The American Chemical Society Preparing for Life After Graduate School Workshop”

The Chemistry Department at Wake Forest University is pleased to host a one-day comprehensive workshop entitled “Preparing For Life After Graduate School,” facilitated by the American Chemical Society, on Friday, April 11, 2014. An optional second workshop day for resume reviews and mock interviews will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014. Workshop registration and meals will be provided free-of-charge for current graduate students and postdocs; however, registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to respond early.
Workshop sessions open to all participants will include:
- A Career in Teaching
- First Year on the Academic Job
- Working in Industry
- First Year on the Industry Job
- Postdoctoral Appointments
- Other Employment Opportunities
- Starting Your Job Search

9:00 AM – 1 PM Scheduled one-on-one, 30-min resume reviews/practice interviews.
