Associate Dean Marsh received his undergraduate and MS degrees from the University of Western Australia and his Ph.D. from Arizona State University. He came to Wake Forest in August 1996. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses, and led a study-abroad semester at Casa Artom in Venice in 2014. He is an affiliate faculty member in the VT-WFU School of Biomedical Engineering and Sciences and in Gerontology & Geriatric Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine at Wake Forest School of Medicine. Dean Marsh has served as the HES Graduate Program Director, as a member and Chair of the WFU Institution Review Board and as a member and Chair of the Research Advisory Council. He has authored over 80 peer-reviewed manuscripts, received substantial external funding for this work, is a Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine and a member of the Gerontological Society of America, and serves on the Editorial Boards of Journal of Aging and Physical Activity and Journals of Gerontology: Medical Sciences.
