East Asian Languages & Cultures

The Department of East Asian Languages & Cultures offers an exciting range of courses. Our language offerings include both a four-year sequence of courses in Chinese and Japanese, as well as other coursework in literature, film, and popular culture. Other offerings include a survey of East Asian cultures class, a senior research seminar, and selected topics in Chinese and Japanese cultures.

Consider a major in Chinese or Japanese language and culture, a minor in Chinese or Japanese language and culture, or an interdisciplinary minor in East Asian Studies to complement your academic and career plans.
