Lindsay Schneider wins NCETA Outstanding Student Teacher Award

Lindsay Schneider, a 2015 graduate of the Wake Forest Master Teacher Fellows Program, will be honored on the weekend of October 3rd as the recipient of the Outstanding Student Teacher Award fromHead shot of alum Lindsay Schneider the North Carolina English Teachers Association (NCETA).
Lindsay student taught at R.J. Reynolds High School in Winston-Salem under cooperating teachers Heather Wiley and Stephanie Walters and university supervisor Alan Brown. She is now teaching at West Forsyth High School in Clemmons, North Carolina.
NCETA presents the Outstanding Student Teacher Award each year in honor of Professor Collett Dilworth, a long-time teacher educator and founding member of NCETA.  The award is based on an application that includes short answer responses from candidates, reference letters from university supervisors and cooperating teachers, and a videotaped teaching performance. NCETA supports and encourages best practices in the teaching of English and hopes each award recipient will go on to lead a full and rewarding teaching career.
