The Department of Education’s is pleased to announce that Dr. Mary Lynn Redmond was recently named Teacher of the Year, Higher Education, by the Foreign Language Association of North Carolina (FLANC), at their recent meeting on October 3, 2014. Dr. Redmond is the Coordinator of Foreign Language Education within the Department of Education, and also serves as the President of the American Council on Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL). Dr. Redmond has been an important part of the Department of Education since 1989.
