Dr. Alan Brown from the Department of Education served as a keynote speaker at the first annual LSU Young Adult Literature Conference & Seminar in Baton Rouge, LA, on June 5, 2014. The title of his talk was “YA Literature in Nontraditional Classroom Settings.” Dr. Brown also led a week-long workshop on the topic of connecting sports and literacy through young adult literature.
