If you are seeking a NC Teaching License:* I understand that I may be denied a North Carolina teaching license if I have any felony convictions. I understand that I will student teach during the second semester of my senior year and that it is a full time commitment. I will complete all degree requirements other than those affiliated with student teaching (EDU 364L and EDU 365) prior to the spring of my senior year. I understand that to be admitted to the program, I must achieve a passing score on the Praxis I test unless I have an ACT composite score of 24 or an SAT total score of 1100 (verbal and quantitative only). I will provide the licensure officer with a copy of my scores or arrange to take the Praxis. The components of the application process should be completed by April 1st of the student's junior year. Students will be considered for provisional admittance into the program if additional time is required.
