Business German at Wake Forest

The study of Business German at Wake Forest provides students with extensive preparation in both the language and culture of German Business. In an expanded two-semester course series, students master the skills needed to conduct job interviews, prepare resumes, write business correspondence, and discuss central matters of commerce and industry. The course culminates with the internationally recognized Goethe Institute examination awarding certification for Business German proficiency, theZertificat Deutsch für den Beruf (ZDfB).

Wayne Calloway School of Business and Accountancy:
In addition to this rigorous program of study, the German department has embarked on an exciting collaboration with the Wayne Calloway School of Business and Accountancy at Wake Forest. Interested students majoring in Business and Accountancy may choose to complete a Concentration in German as part of their business degree. Students seeking this designation on their transcript will complete the Business German series,  pass the ZDfB exam, complete a course in the business school in International Marketing, and participate in an internship with a German/American corporation. Students pursuing this distinction are encouraged to double major or minor in German, although this is not required.
