Niki McInteer is a Visiting Lecturer for Fall 2013, and is thrilled to return to WFU after graduating in 2006 with a BA in German. After leaving Wake Forest, she taught English through the Austrian-American Educational Commission/Fulbright Program in Bruck an der Leitha, Austria. In 2007, Niki started the PhD program at Penn State University, which included a year abroad in the rainy city of Kiel, Germany. Her current research interests are 20th century Austrian Literature, the writings of Joseph Roth, and the crown land regions of the Habsburg Empire. Outside of the classroom, Niki enjoys cooking, trivia nights, and Mad Men.
