Dr. Wilson received her Ph.D.in History and East Asian Languages in 2004 from Harvard University. She specializes in modern military and political history of Japan. Her current research examines the influence of the Kyushu domains in Fukuoka and Saga on national defense policy in Tokugawa Japan. Dr. Wilson is an alum of Wake Forest University, graduating with honors in history in 1994. She is the Croft Associate Professor of History and International Studies at the University of Mississippi.
