Dr. Rais Rahman elected President of SAMSA

Congratulations to Dr. Rais Rahman!  He was elected the new President of South Asian Muslim Studies Association (SAMSA) for 2018-2021, a three year term. SAMSA, as a national professional body of those working on South Asian Muslims, was founded in 1972 and has actively facilitated collaborations among scholars of all ranks, organizing panels at various conferences across the US, holding conferences, symposia, and workshops internationally and has provided a forum that has resulted in multiple publications and fruitful dialogues.
