The History Department awards research fellowships of up to $2,000 each on a competitive basis to highly qualified students who conduct archival research outside North Carolina. Send an abstract of the research project and an estimated list of costs associated with travel to and accommodations at the archives to Professor Ronald P. Bobroff, Interim Chair (email@example.com). Requests for funding for the summer or fall are due March 15; requests for funding for the spring are due November 1.
The History Department also grants up to $50 to cover copying costs for students doing research at places in North Carolina other than the Z. Smith Reynolds Library. Grants are awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis.
