Bradley Singleton (‘17) Working at the Early Today Show

Bradley Singleton (‘17) is currently working for NBC in New York for the Early Today Show as a Production Assistant. He orders the graphics for the show and writes the sports and entertainment stories for air. He is also over the show’s social media pages. Singleton previously interned in Columbia, SC at WLTX News 19 (CBS Affiliate) and in Sumter, SC at Community Broadcasters, a radio conglomerate. In Winston-Salem, Singleton interned with the local semi-professional football team, the Winston Wildcats, as a sideline reporter.

“I think the biggest takeaway for me from all of these internships is how to be independent and proactive,” said Singleton. ”You can’t teach someone how to work hard and be proactive, which is what I believe earned me the position I have now.”

Here are a few tips from Singleton…

  • Writing!!!! I can’t express how important writing is. It literally will open so many doors, TRUST ME!
  • ALWAYS have a positive attitude and a smile no matter what! People are always watching.
  • Keep your network tight.
  • Always be willing to learn and do more.

… and some stories he pitched and wrote for the show.
