Chauvenet Award 2014

The Latin American and Latino Studies Program will again be awarding this year the Chauvenet Award to a student proposing an independent study project requiring travel to Latin America.

The purpose of the Chauvenet Award is to provide a competitive grant for a summer abroad research project to a student minoring in Latin American and Latino Studies. The recipient must meet the standards established by Wake Forest to be considered a full-time student, have a minimum grade point average of 3.0, have completed at least four semesters at Wake Forest, prepare a budget to justify the amount of money requested from the Fund, and provide evidence of language proficiency. The recipient will be selected by a Latin American and Latino Studies faculty committee.
