Now Recruiting for Associate Director of Bands

Associate Director of Bands – Full-time, non-tenure track, dual appointment in the Department of Music and Department of Athletics. Assist Director of Bands with the creative, instructional, and administrative tasks associated with the marching band and basketball band programs. High level of leadership and musicality, successful experience with intercollegiate athletic bands required. Duties include coordination of operational activities of marching band, drill writing and arranging, coordination of all activities of the men’s and women’s pep bands. Additional teaching assignments may be in one or more of the following areas, depending on qualifications:  symphonic band, wind ensemble, jazz ensemble, applied music, chamber ensembles, recording technology, music appreciation.

CREDENTIALS – Master’s degree required; doctorate preferred.  Demonstrated excellence in writing and teaching drill; demonstrated success in organizing and directing collegiate athletic bands.
