Internships
A wide range of useful and appropriate “prelaw” experiences exists in most every community throughout the US. You can visit courts in session at most any time. Also, consider applying for experiences at courts, law school and law firm libraries, poverty assistance groups, and groups that help the elderly and youth. Good experiences in political parties, non-profits, advocacy groups, banks, insurance companies, hospitals and other settings can also build useful skills and knowledge about how the law applies in specific settings. Below are some links to possibilities near WFU. Inquire with the prelaw adviser and/or Career Center, if you have further questions on this.
