Semester Online courses:
- are 15 weeks long in Spring and Fall semesters and 9 weeks long in the Summer semester;
- consist of small sections of 15-20 students;
- are NOT self paced;
- require 80 minutes of live (synchronous) online time each week;
- require extensive preparation before every live online session since there are fewer sessions than in a traditional course.
From psychology to baseball, human behavior to history, Semester Online gives you access to great courses from some of the world’s best colleges and universities. These courses are designed by the same esteemed professors who teach on campus and feature live, face-to-face classes.
Bioethics: Decision-Making in Biology and Medicine, will be offered through SON this summer by Carole Browne, a professor in the Biology Department at WFU. In addition, WFU’s Journalism professor Phoebe Zerwick’s Introduction to Journalism in the Contemporary Media Landscape course is being developed now and will be offered in Fall 2014.
Courses for the Summer 2014 term begin the week of June 9, 2014, and continue through the week of August 8, 2014.
