Mr. Payne (BA, MFA, and DFA (hon) Southern Illinois University at Carbondale) was an adjunct professor of scenography at Wake Forest University, and also a lecturer in scenographic modelmaking at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. He was formerly chairman of the theater department of Southern Illinois at Carbondale. In addition to designing and directing at regional theaters throughout the United States and Canada, he wrote a book on the integration of traditional scenographic rendering techniques with computer graphics technology.

Donald Wolfe

Dr. Wolfe (BS and MS, Southern Illinois University, Carbondale; Ph.D. Cornell University)taught at Wake Forest University starting in 1968. Formerly, he taught classes in acting, theatre history and lighting design. In recent years, his teaching was confined primarily to introduction to theatre and directing. He directed many productions at Wake Forest over the years. He is a past president of the North Carolina Theatre Conference as well as the Southeastern Theatre Conference. In March 1998, he received SETC’s highest award for membership service, the Suzanne Davis Award.
