Part-Time Instructor, Dance
Adina Harper began her American Style Ballroom and Latin training in 1997 with Fred Astaire Dance Studio while obtaining her AAS. She then broadened into international Style Ballroom and Latin dancing in 2000 when she began training at Biltmore Dancesport Center. During her training she performed in shows and competed throughout the region often placing 1st or in the top 3. In 2004 she took on a Professional title and began instructing at Fred Astaire Dance Studio. Within this time she competed professionally and with her students, performed in shows, and choreographed routines. She has competed in national and regional competitions in Chicago, IL; Reston, VA; Nashville, TN; Greenville, SC; Orlando, FL; and throughout North Carolina ending in an array of medals most being 1st and 2nd placements. In 2011 she started her own private studio teaching in both American and International styles of dance.
At the beginning of 2012, she began instructing the Social Dance program at Wake Forest University. During the past 3 years and currently she has continued to intensify her training by seeking out some of the top Coaches in the nation such as:
