Adina Harper began her American style Ballroom and Rhythm training in 1997 and quickly fell in love with the joy of dancing. In 2000 she broadened her training to encompass International Standard and Latin. Soon she began performing in shows and competing throughout the region.
In 2004 she began instructing professionally at a major dance studio chain. She was fully involved in competing professionally and with her students, performing in shows, and choreographing routines. In 2011 she began teaching independently in both American and International Styles. At the beginning of 2012, she began instructing the Social Dance program at Wake Forest University for a period of time. Now she currently enjoys coaching their competitive Ballroom Team.

She has continued to intensify her training by seeking out instruction from some of the top coaches in the nation such as: Ms. Shirley Ballas, Chantal Leclerc, Valentina Kostenko, Sami & Karita Yli-Piipari, Jonathan Roberts, in 2016 she travelled to Russia and trained with a Blackpool Competitor at Esperanza Studio in Saint Petersburg. 2017-2019 allowed her to enjoy tutorial sessions by Dan Calloway as well as travel during 2019 to Paris, France and London, England to strengthen her training with top DanceSport competitors.
