Wake Forest selected The Washington Center (TWC) as its affiliate for the WAKE Washington DC Program based on TWC’s extensive history of successful internship placements and the overall quality of its academic programs and expectations of students. Founded in 1975, TWC has worked with over 1,000 colleges and universities and has provided high quality internship placements, academic courses, and speakers’ forums for over 40,000 students from around the world. In addition to the academic aspects of the students’ experiences, TWC provides each student with opportunities for social, cultural, and civic engagement while in Washington, DC.
Fully furnished housing, near public transportation, is generally provided by TWC, though some students may wish to arrange their own housing.
