Monae Merck is a proud graduate of Elizabeth City State University, located in Elizabeth City, N.C. She graduated with honors with dual degrees in History and English. Monae completed graduate coursework in Public Administration from North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC, and is now pursuing her Master of Liberal Arts Studies here at Wake Forest.
Born in Detroit, Monae relocated to North Carolina as an adolescent and considers herself to be a proud North Carolinian. Professionally, Monae has held positions in Office Management, Customer Service, Client Relations, and Property Management. She is skilled in social media marketing, content creation, event planning, and various administrative tasks. In her personal time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, and blogging. Monae joined her current position as Academic Coordinator for Interdisciplinary Programs and the URECA Center in April 2024.
