Since arriving at Wake Forest in 2010, Polly has left an indelible mark on the university as a leader, dedicated educator, and champion of student innovation. After a long and successful career in the private sector, Polly turned her dynamism and attention to teaching and scholarly work. 

She began at Wake Forest as the Director of the Center for Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship, where she served as the first John C. Whitaker Jr. Executive Director and taught entrepreneurship. Under her energetic leadership, the Entrepreneurship and Social Enterprise minor experienced incredible growth, expanding from 50 students to nearly 300. 

Polly’s commitment to the program’s longevity was further cemented by the addition of three endowed chairs and three scholarship funds, ensuring a vibrant future for the program.

Polly has left an indelible mark on the university as a leader, dedicated educator, and champion of student innovation.
