Bio
Associate Dean Ashley Hairston returned to his alma mater in 2019, after receiving his Bachelor of Arts in English and Politics from Wake Forest in 1992. He received his Master of Arts and Ph.D. at the University of Virginia as well as a law degree at the University of North Carolina. He served two terms on the Board of Visitors for the Wake Forest College and Graduate School, from 2001-2008. Hairston was most recently an Associate Professor of English and of Law & Humanities at Elon University. As Associate Dean, Hairston leads the Office of Academic Advising and represents the Dean’s Office on the Committee on Orientation and Lower Division Advising, the First-Year Seminar Committee, the Committee on Academic Affairs, the Admissions Committee, and the Faculty Athletic Committee.
